This house was a large character home alteration and addition. Although not too much was added to the house, most of the house was gutted and rearranged. It was a large job for us making sure all the details were sorted and there was a seamless transition between the old & new.
This was a new house build. The house comprises a honed concrete block wall that is the spine of the home and is featured in other areas. It also had cedar cladding on the exterior and timber battens on areas of the walls on the interior.
This job for the builder was converting an old church building into apartments in the heart of Petone. The challenge was to keep the old character as much as possible, but still have new, contemporary apartments. For the painting, we painted the exterior which was reclad & had new timber windows in keeping with the previous existing “look” of the old church. The interior was new but with areas of the existing tng ceiling throughout the various apartments.
This was a new house built to look like the existing old character surrounding houses in Mt Victoria, Wellington. We painted the exterior and interior of this new house.
